What are the prevailing corona measures?

We will keep you informed here as soon as we have an overview of the corona measures in place for the festival.

Which designers will be participating in Design Fest Gent?

The programme is currently under development. Please come back later for more information.

Do I need to book online?

We recommend that you order your tickets in advance, which can easily be done via our online ticket shop. You can still buy a ticket at the reception desk in Design Museum Gent.

I did not receive my tickets via e-mail

Check your spam folder and any other folders such as ‘advertising’ or ‘other’ for an e-mail from no_reply@enviso.io. Nothing there? Please e-mail museum.design@gent.be. We will resend your tickets as soon as possible. Our reception desk staff will also be able to retrieve your tickets using your name and/or reservation number when you arrive at Design Museum Gent.

What are the opening hours of the festival?

Design Fest Gent is open on:

Dada Chapel: closed on 22, 25, 26 & 27 April. All other days of the festival open from 2 p.m. until festival closing time.

Shop Design Museum Gent: open every day from 2 p.m. until festival closing time.

Polestar Space: The Space is closed on Sundays/ Mondays. Open all other days from 10h to 18h.

St James’ Church: Open on 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 April & 1 May from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

S.M.A.K.: From 28.04 you can attend performances at S.M.A.K. with your festival or day pass. Please note: your pass does not give you access to the S.M.A.K. exhibitions.

Each ticket shows the same name. Is that a problem?

No, that’s not a problem. Your tickets will indicate the name of the person who placed the order and paid. Each individual ticket has a unique barcode that is scanned at the entrance.


Can I go and back in again?

Yes, as long as you wear the wristband you can go in and out of all locations.


Are lockers available?

The museum has an unmanned cloakroom with lockers that do not require a coin. The Museum of Industry has an unmanned cloakroom with lockers that work with a €1 coin (a coin can be obtained at the museum reception). DADA Chapel has is an unmanned cloakroom.

Is the festival accessible for wheelchair users?

There is no lift in the main location Design Museum Gent. The Museum of Industry is wheelchair accessible. DADA Chapel is largely wheelchair accessible (the basement is inaccessible). There is a wheelchair toilet in Design Museum Gent and Museum of Industry.

Can I eat or drink something at Design Fest Gent?

During Design Fest Gent you are welcome on the garden terrace of Villa Anamma in the courtyard of Design Museum Gent and in the Museum Café of the Industry Museum.

Can my online tickets be refunded?

Refunds will not be given, see our general terms and conditions.
